Hello and welcome to another edition of ‘Live Blogging on Shish on Football’. Tonight it is Super Bowl LII. The Defending Champion New England Patriots take on the Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams have a regular season of 13-3.

​The Patriots are hoping to be the second team in NFL History to have won 6 Super Bowls. There is talk about whether this could be the last Super Bowl Appearance of this version of the New England Patriots.

The Patriots are led by quarterback Tom Brady. This year’s MVP is completing 66.3% of his passes. He averages 7.9 yards/attempt. And he has thrown 32 TD passes and 8 interceptions.

Statistically the Patriots average 28.6 PPG, and a league’s best 394.2 YPG (276.1 through the air and 118.1 on the ground). Defensively the Patriots are allowing 18.5 PPG, and yielding 366 YPG (251.2 through the air and 114.8 on the ground). The Patriots turnover/takeaway ratio is +6.

As for the Eagles, they are trying to win their first Super Bowl in team history. They would like to win for their fans, who are the definition of the word fanatics.

They are going to start Nick Foles at quarterback. Foles replaces Carson Wentz, after Wentz tore his ACL in Week. Foles is completing 56.4% of his passes. He averages 5.3 yards/attempt. And has thrown 5 TDs and 2 INTs.
