The Eagles come in after defeating the Bears 16-15. While the Saints are coming off the 1st-Round Bye, that is given to the teams with the two best records in the conference. 

The Eagles are hoping that they can continue their defense of their Super Bowl Championship reign, by putting Week 11's loss to the Saints behind them. While the Saints are hoping that the week off; plus resting Drew Brees in Week 17, doesn't make them rusty. 

The Eagles are led by quarterback Nick Foles. Darren Sproles is their leading rusher. And Alshon Jeffery leads Philadelphia in receiving. 

Their team stats include, averaging 22.9 PPG, while allowing 365.3 YPG (267.2 through the air and 98.2 on the ground). Defensively they allow 21.8 PPG, while yielding 366.2 YPG (269.2 through the air and 96.9 on the ground).

Hello and welcome to another edition of 'Live Blogging on Shish on Football'. Tonight it is a preseason matchup between Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles. The Dolphins come in with a preseason record of 1-1, while the Eagles also have a preseason record of 1-1.

The Dolphins will start Jay Cutler at Quarterback. While the Eagles will start Carson Wentz as their signal caller. Cutler only threw five times in last week's loss over the Ravens. The Phins are hoping to find some quality performance from the veteran quarterback. Meanwhile the Eagles are hoping to get some progression out of Carson Wentz, in this his sophomore year in the NFL.

Final Thoughts: The Dolphins should be satisfied with how the first string played. Cutler throws for 105 yards and a TD. Ajayi rushed for 2 touchdowns. The Eagles got a good showing from Wentz, but they had 15+ penalities. Wentz will have some weapons with Sproles, Ertz, Jeffery, and Smith, but the Eagles are looking at a regular season with their division and the AFC West.
