Final Thoughts: Well the Astros failed to close out this series.  But this doesn't seem like a disappointing loss for the Astros.  The only disappointing part of this loss by the Astros was their lack of hitting with RISP. The Astros went 0-for-6.

Meanwhile the Dodgers got through this game.  Now they feel confident that they can win Game 7. However the Yankees felt they had the upper hand in Game 7 of the ALCS, with C.C. and their pen. But the Astros beat the Yankees in a Game 7.

Tomorrow's starters are Lance McCullers, Jr. for the Astros and Yu Darvish for the Dodgers.

World Series Game 5: Los Angeles Dodgers at Houston Astros (10/29/2017)
Fox Sports TV Broadcast
Hello and welcome to another edition of ‘Live Blogging on Shish on Baseball’. Tonight it is Game 5 of the World Series as the Los Angeles Dodgers take on the Houston Astros. The Series is tied at 2-2, with the Dodgers winning Games 1 and 4, while the Astros have won Games 2 and 3.

The Dodgers hope that they retook the momentum of this series, when they scored 5 times in Top of the 9th Inning to defeat the Astros 6-2. They will have Clayton Kershaw on the mound tonight. Kershaw; who was impressive in Game 1, will try to duplicate that feat, when he will pitch in front of the hostile Minute Maid Park crowd.

Meanwhile the Astros will counter with Dallas Keuchel tonight. Keuchel also pitched good in Game 1. His only mistakes were a pair of home runs to Chris Taylor and a 2-run blast by Justin Turner.

The Astros have a problem. Astros Manager A.J. Hinch has decided not to go to their closer Ken Giles. Giles is pitching an 11.74 ERA this postseason. So who will be the pitcher to get the last three outs of Game 5 and beyond, for the Astros? Will it be Harris? Musgrove? or a starter? The answer is coming up tonight.

Baltimore Ravens Depth Chart
Hello and welcome to another edition of ‘Live Blogging on Shish on Football’. Tonight it is the Miami Dolphins taking on the Baltimore Ravens. This is a matchup that will have playoff implications in January. The Dolphins come in with a record of 4-2, while the Ravens come in with a record of 3-4.

The Dolphins are having a good start to the season, despite being anemic on offense. Their offensive stats are averaging 15.3 PPG, 261.8 YPG (180. 2 through the air, and 81.7 through the ground). They are going to be without their starting QB Jay Cutler this week, due to cracked ribs. The Miami Dolphins will start Matt Moore at quarterback.

On Defense is the reason why they are in the hunt for the AFC East crown. They allow 18.7 PPG, 308.2 YPG (225.8 through the air, and 82.3 on the ground), and a Turnover/Takeaway ratio of -2.

As for the Baltimore Ravens, they are currently having a 2-Game losing streak, and 4 out of last 5 games. If they want any hope of making the Playoffs, they need to start with wins against AFC foes like the Miami Dolphins.

NLDS Game 5: Chicago Cubs at Washington Nationals
TBS TV Broadcast
Hello and welcome to another edition of ‘Live Blogging on Shish on Baseball’. Tonight it is win or go home as the Chicago Cubs and Washington Nationals are set to play Game 5 of the National League Division Series. The Cubs have won the odd number games, while the Nationals have won the even number games.

This has been a series of momentum shifts. Game 2’s momentum shift occurred, when the Nationals hit 2 home runs in the Bottom of the 8th Inning, in their 6-3 win vs. Cubs. In Game 3, the momentum moves to the Cubs, when a couple of questionable pitching decisions by Dusty Baker, gave the Cubs a 2-1 win. Game 4’s momentum shift happened before the game began, where it was postponed on Tuesday. That gave Stephen Strasburg enough time to record the win, in Nationals 5-0 win over the Cubs.

Tonight’s starting pitchers are right-hander Kyle Hendricks for the Cubs, and left-hander Gio Gonzalez for the Nationals. Hendricks pitched 7 shutout innings, 2 hits, 6 strikeouts, and 3 walks in Game 1. Gio Gonzalez pitched 5 innings, 3 earned runs, off 3 hits, 6 strikeouts, and 2 walks, in Game 2.

NLDS Game 1: Chicago Cubs at Washington Nationals
TBS TV Broadcast
Hello and welcome to another edition of ‘Live Blogging on Shish on Baseball’. Tonight it is Game 1 of the National League Division Series, between Chicago Cubs and Washington Nationals.

Both teams made the Postseason as division champions. Cubs finished the season with a record of 92-70.But the Nationals earn home-field in this series, with a record of 97-65.

Cubs come in with a team batting average of .255, an OPS of .775, and drove in 785 out of 822 runs. Their pitching staff has a team ERA of 3.95, and a WHIP of 1.28.

The Nationals have a team batting average of .266, an OPS of .782, and drove in 796 out of 819 runs scored. Their pitching staff has a team ERA of 3.88, and a 1.24 WHIP.

Washington is hoping to have Bryce Harper and Max Scherzer, ready to play in this series. Harper should return for Game 1, after being on the DL with a hyperextended knee. The news is different for Scherzer, who is projected to start in Game 3 of this series. But has been having a difficult time doing rehab starts this week, due to a tweak in his right hamstring.

The Cubs are also banged up in their starting rotation. Jake Arrieta is pushed back to start Game 4 (If the series goes that far.) due to a strain in the right hamstring. Cubs Manager Joe Maddon believes the Cubs Ace is ‘Fine’ And should start on Tuesday.
