HOUSTON ASTROS ARE THE 2017 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!

Final:
HOU 5, LAD 1
HOU wins series 4-3
W: Morton (2-1)
L: Darvish (2-2)
PoG: Springer 2/5, HR, 2B, 2R, 2 RBI
PoWS: Springer 5 HRs
ToG: 3:37

Final Thoughts: Well another World Series Championship drought coming to an end. It just seemed like last night's game wasn't a heartbreaking Game 6 that some World Series runner-up experience, being up 3-2. The Astros started the night with a double by Springer. Then Bregman reaches second base on a throwing error by Cody Bellinger, scoring Springer. Then in the Top of the 2nd Inning, the Astros scored three runs highlighted by a 2-run home run by Springer.

As for the Dodgers, there will be some questions about Dave Roberts decision making in going to the Bullpen early in some of these World Series games.

When the Houston Astros look back at this season, it came down to 2 seconds at the end of August. That is how many seconds to spar during the waiver-trade deadline. That was the deadline the Astros had to meet to get Justin Verlander.

Once again, the Houston Astros are the 2017 World Series Champions.

Final Thoughts: Well the Astros failed to close out this series.  But this doesn't seem like a disappointing loss for the Astros.  The only disappointing part of this loss by the Astros was their lack of hitting with RISP. The Astros went 0-for-6.

Meanwhile the Dodgers got through this game.  Now they feel confident that they can win Game 7. However the Yankees felt they had the upper hand in Game 7 of the ALCS, with C.C. and their pen. But the Astros beat the Yankees in a Game 7.

Tomorrow's starters are Lance McCullers, Jr. for the Astros and Yu Darvish for the Dodgers.

World Series Game 5: Los Angeles Dodgers at Houston Astros (10/29/2017)
Fox Sports TV Broadcast
Hello and welcome to another edition of ‘Live Blogging on Shish on Baseball’. Tonight it is Game 5 of the World Series as the Los Angeles Dodgers take on the Houston Astros. The Series is tied at 2-2, with the Dodgers winning Games 1 and 4, while the Astros have won Games 2 and 3.

The Dodgers hope that they retook the momentum of this series, when they scored 5 times in Top of the 9th Inning to defeat the Astros 6-2. They will have Clayton Kershaw on the mound tonight. Kershaw; who was impressive in Game 1, will try to duplicate that feat, when he will pitch in front of the hostile Minute Maid Park crowd.

Meanwhile the Astros will counter with Dallas Keuchel tonight. Keuchel also pitched good in Game 1. His only mistakes were a pair of home runs to Chris Taylor and a 2-run blast by Justin Turner.

The Astros have a problem. Astros Manager A.J. Hinch has decided not to go to their closer Ken Giles. Giles is pitching an 11.74 ERA this postseason. So who will be the pitcher to get the last three outs of Game 5 and beyond, for the Astros? Will it be Harris? Musgrove? or a starter? The answer is coming up tonight.

It is the Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros, coming up shortly.

As for the Dodgers, they will head back home to L.A. and prepare for facing Justin Verlander on Tuesday.

Verlander will go up against Rich Hill for Game 6 on Tuesday. An Astros win and they will become World Series Champions, for the first time in franchise history.
