Live-Blogging Shish on Baseball: Milwaukee Brewers at Chicago Cubs-05/30/2022

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Baseball’. This Afternoon, it is Game 1 of a doubleheader, between the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs.
Brewers were able to hold their NL Central over the Cardinals, This Weekend. Now they head to the North Side of Chicago, to take on the Cubs.
 
After giving up 20 runs on Thursday to the Cincinnati Reds, Cubs went to the South Side to split their Crosstown Series against the White Sox.
 
So far in the season series, Brewers and Cubs have won three games each. This is a 4-game series, with today being a day-night doubleheader.
 
This Afternoon’s Starting Pitchers are two pitchers who will make their MLB debut. Southpaw Ethan Small will go for the Brewers, while Matt Swarmer will start for the Cubs.

Final Thoughts:
Brewers were able to capitalize on Cubs error and were able to shut them down when they were baserunners. 2 Cubs errors turned into 3 Brewers runs. And the Cubs were 2-for-17 with runners in scoring position and stranded 11.

Both teams will play Game 2 of this doubleheader later on Tonight. Aaron Ashby will start for the Brewers. While Drew Smyly will throw for the Cubs.
