Live-Blogging Shish on Baseball: Los Angeles Angels at Chicago White Sox 06/27/2022

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Baseball’. Tonight, it is an American League matchup, between Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Angels.

White Sox are struggling, and they are battling with some injuries. They are 5.5 games behind Minnesota Twins and they are 5.5 games behind Toronto Blue Jays for the final AL Wild Card spot.

For the Angels, they got off to a good start, but had a 14-game losing streak that cost Manager Joe Maddon his job. Now they are trying to find their way back in the wild card race. As they are 6.5 games behind of Toronto Blue Jays, for the final wild card spot, in the American League.

Tonight’s Starting Pitchers are a pair of right-handers. Lucas Giolito will start for the White Sox. And Noah Syndergaard will go for the Angels.

Giolito comes in with a pitches/plate appearance of 3.91. His strikeout/walk ratio is 2.92. And his groundout/airout is 0.75.

Syndergaard comes in with a P/PA of 3.65. His K/BB ratio is 2.67. And his GO/AO ratio is 1.28.

Final Thoughts:
Both starting pitchers were outstanding. But in the end, Taylor Ward hits a 2-run double in the Bottom of 7th Inning, to give the Angels the lead for good. 

White Sox & Angels continue tomorrow. Johnny Cueto will start for the White Sox. While the Angels have yet to announce a starting pitcher, tomorrow night.
