Hello and welcome to another edition of 'Live Blogging on Shish on Baseball'. Tonight it is the Chicago White Sox versus Kansas City Royals. The White Sox are not going to play in October. But they get to play spoiler as they take on a Royals team, who is looking to stay in the hunt for the final wild card spot in the American League.

White Sox come in with a record of 56-86, while the Royals come in with a record of 71-71. The White Sox are coming off taking 2 out of 3, from the Giants. Meanwhile the Royals split the 4-game series from the Twins to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Tonight's putching matchup is Reynaldo Lopez for the White Sox and Jason Hammel for the Royals. Both are righties. Lopez comes in with a record of 0-3, 4.84 ERA, and 21 Ks. While Hammel comes in with a record of 8-10, 4.73 ERA, and 125 Ks.

Final Thoughts: This was the best game the White Sox played in 2017. They were hitting, pitching, and played some defense. Abreu almost had another cycle. As for the Royals, they do not look like a playoff team. This might be the end of this group of Royals, who made two appearances to the World Series, including their 2015 championship run.
