And they crushed the pitching staffs of the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox, in the Postseason. However, they will be without their ace starting pitcher Lance McCullers, Junior (Right Forearm). Tonight’s Starting Pitchers are right-hander for the Braves. And left-hander Framber Valdez for the Astros. Braves won Game 1 Last Night, on Adam Duvall walk-off single scoring Ozzie Albies. It was game they had to win, because they must face the LA’s Big 3 Starters in the next three games. There’s a lot of things I missed since 9/11/01. But Today, I remember that awful Tuesday Morning. Match Location: Yoyogi National Stadium, Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan
Hello, and welcome to a special blog post. These next few days, I will try and cover the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan. My personal interest in this version of the Olympics is because of my brother Brett, who is visually impaired due to a pediatric cancer. From watching the Opening Ceremonies and the Heats of Para Swimming, I am just amazed at not only how these para-athletes are participating at a high level but getting the support from their home countries. Countries that could be impoverished or war-torn. What I am planning to do with the coverage of the Paralympic Games, is on the personal website I will post the United States Team games or matches. While on the Shish on Sports website, I will cover the medal rounds of individual or team events. I start tonight, with Mixed Wheelchair Rugby (Or Murderball, Quad Ruby), there was some hype about this sport, as far as the physicality of the wheelchair version of the sport. Murderball is a cross-between rugby, basketball, and handball. It has some of ice hockey rules as well. Unlike Able-Bodied Rugby, Wheelchair Rugby is 4-on-4. The games are 4-Eight Minute Quarters. And each team must get the ball to their opponents’ goal similar to ABR or American Football. As far as the Match, the United States will take on New Zealand. New Zealand is a country known as a powerhouse in rugby. They will try and go for gold in this Paralympics. The same can be said about Team USA, they are pretty good at getting medals in Wheelchair Rugby. Of course, one of the featured athletes of Team USA is Charles Aoki, who participated in the Rio and London Paralympics. It is United States and New Zealand, in 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Wheelchair Rugby, coming up shortly. Live-Blogging Shish on Baseball: That Game in Iowa Between New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox8/12/2021 This game was supposed to have taken place last year. However, the game was pushed back to this year due to COVID-19. Now the Yankees and White Sox are over by the ‘Field of Dreams’ Set, to play the first of a 3-game series, which will conclude over at Guaranteed Rate Field beginning on Saturday.
Major League Baseball is having this game played on this movie set, because of the 30th Anniversary of the Universal Pictures/Kevin Costner Movie about Ray Kinsella (Costner) building a baseball diamond in his cornfield due to a voice telling him to build it. As well as it is the 100th Anniversary of the Black Sox Scandal, to which they were in the movie, including ‘Shoeless’ Joe Jackson. As for tonight’s game. This is a possible American League Postseason game, between a Yankees team trying to chase their arch-nemesis Boston Red Sox for the 2nd AL Wild Card. Against a White Sox team, who has a substantial lead in their division and has their sights set on home-field throughout the Postseason. Yankees looked like a team who was going to be sellers at the trading deadline. But were buyers of left-handed power hitters of Anthony Rizzo and Joey Gallo. For the White Sox, they’ve led the AL Central for most of this regular season. And now they have two big components returning these past couple of weeks in Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert. Jimenez had a two-game stretch where he had 4 home runs. And the White Sox are hoping that Robert can return to his ability at center field. Tonight’s Starting Pitchers are left-hander Andrew Heaney for the Yankees and right-hander Lance Lynn, for the White Sox. Heaney comes in with a strikeout/walk ratio of 3.71 and a pitches/plate appearance of 4.25. While Lynn comes in with a K/BB ratio of 3.71 and a P/PA of 4.07. It is New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox in the ‘Field of Dreams’ Game, coming up shortly. Starting Lineups: New York Yankees: 1. DJ LeMahieu, 2B 2. Brett Gardner, CF 3. Aaron Judge, RF 4. Joey Gallo, LF 5. Giancarlo Stanton, DH 6. Luke Voit, 1B 7. Rougned Odor, 2B 8. Kyle Higashioka, C 9. Tyler Wade, SS Chicago White Sox: 1. Tim Anderson, SS 2. Cesar Hernandez, 2B 3. Jose Abreu, DH 4.
