​Hello and welcome to another edition of 'Live Blogging on Shish on Baseball'.  Tonight is a special edition as Game 5 of the 2016 World Series between Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs. The Indians have a 3-1 series lead over the Cubs.  If the Indians win tonight, it will be their first World Series championship since 1948, and its third world series championship in franchise history.

For the Cubs their goal is to extend this series to Game 6.  A Game 6 will bring the series back to Cleveland and Kyle Schwarber can start as the Cubs' DH.

Final Thoughts: You just had a feeling with Heyward;s Spider-Man catch, and Rizzo saving Ross from committing an error on a foul out, that the Cubs were not going to lose at Wrigley and give the Indians their first championship in 68 years.

As for the Cubs, disappointing loss.  When the Cubs lineup was announced, you get the feeling that Maddon may not find his left-handed outfielders reliable. And when you add that with the wishful thinking that Schwarber would get the medical clearance to play the field.  

Game 4 tomorrow night. Kluber going for the Indians.  While Lackey will go for the Cubs.

Hello and welcome to the 2016 World Series. This is a historic Fall Classic as the Chicago Cubs will try to erase an 108-year Championship drought. They will take on a Cleveland Indians club who are trying to erase a 68-year drought. One of these two longest droughts in Major League Baseball will come to an end, after this series.

Tonight's pitching matchup is Jon Lester vs. Corey Kluber. Two of the most dominate pitchers in the game today.
