​Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Professional Football’. This Afternoon, it is an AFC Wild Card Game, between the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills.

Dolphins had a roller coaster season. They start off the season 3-0. Then they dropped 3 in a row. They won 5 consecutive games after that. Only for Miami to lose 5 straight games, before defeating the Jets to clinch the Final AFC Wild Card Spot.

The roller coaster ride was due to the unreliability of their quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Although he was the league’s leading passer in many statistics, he also officially suffered two concussions. The second concussion is the reason he will not play in Today’s game. The starting quarterback of today’s game will be Kansas State’s Skylar Thompson.

For the Bills, they had a different roller coaster ride. They managed to clinch the AFC East Champions, despite having a game moved to Detroit because of a blizzard. And the near tragedy involving Safety Damar Hamlin. There are a lot of fans and media who are hoping that all of this are the reasons to route for them to win the Super Bowl.

However, they still must play the Dolphins. For the Dolphins to have a chance to win this game, they must have the mentality of a villain. The game is going to be the responsibility of the Defense, to actually play their best game of the season. And they need to get the running game going, despite not having Raheem Mostert Today.

As for the Bills, they must lose focus for the 60 minutes of this game. It is one thing to have nearly everyone believe that they will beat the Dolphins handily. It is another way to actually play the game.

It is the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills, in the 2022-23 AFC Wild Card Game. The Game will start shortly.

Final Thoughts:
Bills came out firing in the 1st Quarter, jumping to a 17-point lead. 

But then, Tyler Bass kicked the ball out of bounds, which led to a Jason Sanders 51-yard FG. Sanders would kick 2 more field goals, before Skylar Thompson threw a 7-yard TD pass to Mike Gesicki. Thompson connects with Tyreek Hill for the 2-point conversion to tie the game. 

2nd Half starts off with Dolphins going 3-and-out, trailing 20-17. Zach Seiler scooped & scored off a Josh Allen fumble to give the Dolphins their only lead of the game. 

But the game was decided on a 3rd & 19, when Skylar Thompson threw an interception to Kaiir Elam. That interception turned into a Josh Allen 6-yard TD pass to Cole Beasley. 

In the 4th Quarter, the Dolphins burned their final two timeouts and had a killer delay of game penalty on a 4th & 1, prior to the 2-minute warning that sealed the Miami Dolphins fate for the 2022-23 Season.

Josh Allen and the Bills realized that they could not take the Miami Dolphins lightly, regardless of who is at quarterback for the Phins. But the  Bills will host a Divisional Playoff game, Next Weekend.

As For the Dolphins, the questions will begin with who will be their starting quarterback? And if it is Tua, who will be his backup quarterback? Will it be Skylar Thompson? Jimmy Garoppolo, Derek Carr, or who?
