 Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on College Basketball’. Tonight, it is 2021 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, between Grand Canyon Antelopes out of the Western Athletic Conference and Iowa Hawkeyes. The Lopes have only played Division 1-A Basketball since 2013. And this is their first appearance to the NCAA Tournament. They are known for their commercials promoting the Phoenix University. As Andy Katz points out, Grand Canyon likes to score in the 70’s. However as Katz points out again, Hawkeyes like their games in the 70’s. But unlike the Lopes, they are led by Center Luka Garza. Garza is a finalists for the Niesmith Trophy. And has players like Joe Wieskamp and Jordan Bohannon and Connor McCaffery. Lopes are led by Asbjorn Midtgaard in scoring and rebounding.
