2021 World Series Game 6: Houston Astros at Atlanta Braves

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Baseball’. Tonight, it is Game 6 of the 2021 World Series, between Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros.

Both teams split the first two games in Houston. Braves took games 3 & 4, while Astros took Game 5 in Atlanta. Now the Series returns to Houston, with both teams hoping to get decent starting pitching.

It is more important for the Braves, as they attempted to win the World Series, with back-to-back Bullpen Games. They only won the first Bullpen game in Game 4. In Game 5, Astros got to the Braves Bullpen.

Meanwhile the Astros, hope to get some good innings from Luis Garcia. If they win to tonight, they could go with all hands on deck including Odorizzi, Greinke, or Urquidy.

But Tonight’s Starting Pitchers are left-hander Max Fried for the Braves. And right-hander Luis Garcia for the Astros. Fried lost Game 2, while Garcia lost Game 3. The Braves Southpaw comes in with a strikeout/walk ratio of 7.67, 3.63 pitches/plate appearance, and 0.90 groundout/airout. For Garcia, he comes in with a K/BB ratio of 1.64, and 0.47 GO/AO.

Final Thoughts:
Astros opportuinity to win Game 6 and send the World Series in Game 7, came in the Bottom of 1st Inning. That was when Houston had Altuve and Brantley on base. However, Max Fried gets Correa, Alvarez, and Gurriel out.

Then in the Top of 3rd Inning, with Runners on 1st & 2nd. The Game and World Series was won by Jorge Soler's 3-run homer off Luis Garcia. And it was fitting that Atlanta Area's Dansby Swanson threw the assist on the final putout of this series.

The 2021 Atlanta Braves are 25 Jake Taylors (Tom Berenger in 'Major League'). They won the whole bleeping thing, after the injuries to Acuna and Soroka, Ozuna's legal issues, and MLB taking the All-Star Game from Atlanta (Over Georgia Election Law).  And they never gave up and won the World Series. 

For the Astros, they played consistent. But their starting pitching was decimated when Lance McCullers was declared out of 2021 World Series.
