2023 Calder Cup Finals-Game 2-Hershey Bears at Coachella Valley Firebirds

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Professional Ice Hockey’. Tonight, it is Game 2 of the 2023 Calder Cup Finals, between the Hershey Bears (Washington Capitals AHL Affiliate) and the Coachella Valley Firebirds (Seattle Kraken Affiliate).

Firebirds dominated Game 1, by shutting out Hershey 5-0. In that victory, they got 3 assists from Kole Lind. Now they are looking to go up 2-0, before the series heads to Hershey.

As for the Bears, they need to figure out how to rebound from that game. They are hoping a couple more days in the hot Eastern California Weather could get them adjusted. So they could split the series.

It is Hershey Bears and Coachella Valley Firebirds, in Game 1 of the 2023 Calder Cup Finals. Game 1 will begin shortly.

Game 2 was over in the 2nd Period. As the Firebirds scored 4 goals. And it was all Joey Daccord in this game. The Coachella Valley Goaltender has yet to let a goal passed him in these first two games.

For the Bears, they need to regroup mentally and psychologically. They are going to have to figure out how to extend this series. 

Same two teams on Tuesday Night. However, the series will shift to the Giant Center in Hershey, PA.
