​Hello, and welcome to a special edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Professional Football’. Tonight, it is Super Bowl LVIII, between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs.
 
The Niners are going for their 6th Super Bowl Championship. For that to happen, they need Brock Prudy to play the best game of his career. He needs to put the ball in the hands of Christian McCaffery, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle. Purdy is going up against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
 
For the Defending Super Bowl Champions, they struggled during the regular season. But in the playoffs, The Chiefs played like the defending Super Bowl Champs. Dominated the Dolphins in one of the coldest playoff games in NFL history. Then Kansas City went into Buffalo and won it due to special teams’ blunders by the Bills. Finally, Mahomes and Company went into Baltimore and won a defensive slugfest against the Ravens, to capture the Lamar Hunt Trophy.
 
Now the Chiefs will face a San Francisco 49ers team, who didn’t have Christian McCaffery in Super Bowl LIV. But in this Super Bowl, the Chiefs don’t have Tyreek Hill. In this rematch of that Super Bowl.
 
Patrick Mahomes will give the ball to Isaiah Pacheco in the running game. And for the passing game Mahomes’ security blanket is Taylor Swift’s Beau, Travis Kelce.
 
It is the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, in Super Bowl LVIII. The game will begin shortly.

Final Thoughts:
Chiefs won this Super Bowl as a team. They made special teams plays. They played defense. And of course, they have Patrick Mahomes.

For the 49ers, they had the Chiefs on the ropes. But they had special teams wonders and they had a championship looking drive in overtime. Only for it to be a field goal drive. And that was enough for Mahomes and Company. 

With the win, it is the Chiefs 4th Super Bowl in Franchise History. It is their 3rd Lombardi Trophy in 5 years. And this is the first time a NFL team repeated as Super Bowl Champions since 2003-04 New England Patriots. 

Now the question going into 2024 will be, will the Kansas City Chiefs 3-peat?
