Not Apologizing Over Skepticism Over COVID-19, Wish Someone Would Be Specific

​As I worked my job at the railyard, I realized something about how essential certain jobs are and which are not. Isn’t it something that the first industry that had to close its doors over COVID-19 outbreak were sports and the entertainment industry? And what is going to happen if the transportation industry comes to a holt, due to this pandemic?

The Saturday before the shutting down of American Way of Life began, I posted a blog about how I was more worried about Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) than I was about coronavirus. I didn’t become concerned about the problem until the NBA suspended their season.
I can’t blame anyone who didn’t take this pandemic seriously, because we hear epidemics and the fear of them becoming pandemics from time to time. Probably the reason people don’t lose sleep over an epidemic is that when there is a pandemic; like this one, the accuracy of reporting this illness is important.
There are coronaviruses that affect human beings other than SARS-CoV2. From what I understand, just because someone has SARS-CoV2, doesn’t mean that person has COVID-19. SARS-CoV2 is the coronavirus, while COVID-19 is short for Coronavirus Disease 19. So, saying that certain celebrities have ‘Coronavirus’. That’s not specific enough.
Right now, I am looking at the John Hopkins COVID-19 Map daily. I am still personally more worried about EEE, but the contagiousness of COVID-19 does affect everybody. But until they tell me otherwise, I will be going to work trying to move freight that could have medical supplies, toilet paper, food and water.
