Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Professional Ice Hockey’. Tonight, it is Game 4 of the Central Division Semifinals, in the 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs. Between the Grand Rapids Griffins (Detroit Red Wings AHL Affiliate) and the Rockford IceHogs (Chicago Blackhawks Affiliate).
 
Griffins took Game 1 in Rockford. Rockford took Game 2, while Grand Rapids took Game 3, at Van Andel Arena. The series returns to Rockford for Game 4.
 
 A win for the Griffins and they await the winner of the Milwaukee/Texas Series, in the Central Division Finals. Griffins need to keep scoring from Jonathan Berggren. They also need to get power play goals. They are 0 for the series in power plays converted.
 
For the IceHogs, they need to win today, to force a Game 5 on Friday Night. For that to happen, they need more scoring from Mike Hardman. And they need to continue killing penalties.
 
It is the Grand Rapids Griffins and the Rockford IceHogs, in Game 4 of the Central Division Semifinals, in the 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs. Game 4 will begin shortly.

Final Thoughts:
Griffins were able to hold off the IceHogs in both games in Rockford. They got scoring from Czarnik, Berggren, Mazur, and Kasper. They need to shore up their power play. As they were 0 for the series in the extra man attacker. 

For the IceHogs, they couldn't get good shots. And when they did, they were unable to get it past Sebastian Cossa.

Once Again, Grand Rapids win Game 4 and the series. They await the winner of the Milwaukee Admirals/Texas Stars series, Sometime after Mother's Day.
