Live-Blogging Shish on Baseball: 2024 National League Division Series-Game 2-San Diego Padres at Los Angeles Dodgers

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Baseball’. Tonight, it is Game 2 of the National League Division Series, between the San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Padres and Dodgers played a see-saw battle for the first 4 innings. But then Teoscar Hernandez hits a game-winning, 2-run single scoring Shohei Ohtani & Mookie Betts in the Bottom of 4th Inning. And that was what the Dodgers Bullpen to take Game 1.

For Game 2, the Dodgers would like to get a 2-0 lead going into San Diego. They are going to need more run scoring from this lineup.

As for the Friars, they need better pitching from Yu Darvish in this game.

Game 2’s Starting Pitchers are a pair of right-handed hurlers. Yu Darvish (3.81 P/PA, 3.55 K/BB, 0.72 GO/AO) will start for the Padres. While the Dodgers will go with Jack Flaherty (4.08 P/PA, 5.11 K/BB, 0.90 GO/AO).

Final Thoughts:
Fernando Tatis, Junior set the tone. He hits the first of 2 homers in Game 2. And Yu Darvish took control of the game from there.

For the Dodgers, they didn't have an answer for Darvish. And the Dodgers Bullpen collapsed in the last two innings of Game 2.

These two teams will head to San Diego to play Games 3 & 4. Game 3 will begin Tuesday Night. Both teams have yet to announce their starting pitchers.
